UFC Star Israel Adesanya Apologizes After Drink Driving Charge

Former UFC champion Israel Adesanya is awaiting sentencing after being charged with driving under the influence. I was pulled over and gave an evidentiary blood test. I want people that follow me to know I do not think this behavior is acceptable,” said Adesanya in a statement to the Herald. The 34-year-old faces a maximum penalty of three months in prison or a fine of $4,500. Adesanya’s lawyer, Karl Trotter said he would seek a discharge without conviction at the sentencing on Jan. 10, 2024.
