Lake Worth arrest made for shooting after RIZE MMA Event

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. —

A 56-year-old man was arrested for his involvement in the shooting at the Bamboo Room in Lake Worth Beach on March 20.

Antonio Montes De Oca Hernandez discharged a weapon inside and outside the venue following an in-person mixed martial arts event, where a fight broke out that ended with a shot being fired, the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office said.

Investigators said Hernandez hit someone with a folding chair, grabbed a gun from his wife’s purse and shot the gun into the air.

No one was hit with a bullet, but several people had minor injuries from the panic caused by the shot being fired.

On Saturday, PBSO requested the assistance of the Hialeah Police Department to arrest Hernandez. He was arrested without incident

Hernandez is currently at the Dade County Jail in Palm Beach County facing charges of shooting into a building and affray.

Authorities said there will be more arrests as a result of this case.
