Change of MMA Promotion for March 17th HardRock Casino Event

On March 17th,2018 a Professional Mixed Martial Arts event is being held at the HardRock Casino Event Center. Originally promoted as a Cage Fury Fighting Championship event, it will now be promoted as a Shogun Fights event.

The company positioned itself as a “feeder” league for bigger promotions like the UFC.  It had acquired several regional promotionsThe brain-child of John Rallo, Shogun fights regularly packs one of the biggest regional MMA venues – the Royal Farms Arena with some of the best MMA shows in the Mid-Atlantic region. A hotbed for celebrities and UFC stars, Shogun events will continue to be a Baltimore mainstay for a time to come.

Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) is an American mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion primarily operating in the Northeastern United States. Founded by Felix and Amy Martinez, they promoted their first shows in Atlantic City, New Jersey, launching the careers of fighters such as Kimbo Slice. The last-minute cancellation of its sixth event under the ownership of Felix and Amy Martinez in 2007 signaled its temporary demise; however, it resurfaced nearly four years later when Vineland, New Jersey native Robert Haydak Jr. purchased the organization and began promoting shows. Since then Haydak has re-invented the CFFC brand, bringing it to be considered one of the top Regional MMA Promotions in the United States.

About Hard Rock Event Center

Hard Rock Event Center is the newly constructed 3,500-seat venue located in the northwest corner of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood. As part of the $1.5 billion property expansion, the existing Hard Rock Live arena will be razed in March 2018 and replaced with a state-of-the-art 6,500-plus-seat venue in a theater-style configuration, slated to open in 2019.
